A.I. is probably the biggest topic since COVID. Even outside of the workplace, people are using A.I. to research ideas, integrate into home life, and simply make life easier.

Healthcare is a field that many people do not think about A.I. disrupting as much as other fields (law, engineering, finance, etc.)

If the job you are now doing, can’t be physically outsourced, your job is secure.

Medicine and healthcare is probably in the top three fields for being immune to A.I. It will be a very long time until A.I. could replace a nurse, medical assistant, physician, or pharmacist. Neither A.I. nor anything similar is close to such capabilities.

It is not impossible for this to happen one day. But, I am not sure humans would trust a robot to take care of them. This holds true even if the care is PERFECT.

A.I. will undoubtably help healthcare and medicine. Specifically, biotech and pharmaceutical companies will have accelerations to their therapeutics and treatments as speeds we probably never imagined.

Algorithms and technology are learning more about the human body. They are also discovering its strengths and weaknesses. As this knowledge grows, the likelihood of finding remedies will increase with speed.

It is an overall net positive to the healthcare sector.

I also believe people will be more inclined to pursue higher education for specialized degrees. Fields like medicine, nursing, and PT will be popular choices.

The days of people getting an art, sociology, psychology, history, or degrees that have a low ROI (money spent on the degree, with low return on income/salary) are probably going to be shrinking over the next 15-20 years.

We are still in the early innings of figuring out where A.I. fits into society in the long run. For now, it will be integrated into every part of corporate and business life. We are just scratching the surface of how it will help our personal lives.
